Student artwork in school library

Home / After School / Student artwork in school library

Students in Ms. Kate’s Visual Art class created a mural of Marin County, which they worked on over several weeks during the fall semester of the after-school program. Over 60 students from grades K-5 collaborated on the mural, which reflects their community, the environment around them, and the landscape and people they interact with daily.

The mural is on display in the school library shared by Bayside Elementary and Willow Creek Academy. What do you think about the mural? Please leave us a comment.

Student’s also created sculptures using tree branches, recycled materials, and craft items. They were asked to create a place of safety or a “safe space.” Many of the students built fences and tree houses to represent their space.
