Interesting in being a teaching artist. Click here.
An internship at Youth in Arts is a fantastic fit for anyone interested in both teaching and the arts. The staff is made up of professional artists who are incredibly welcoming and deeply believe in mentorship.
During the academic year, Interning at Youth in Arts entails both office work and on-site work. Office work may include helping to create lessons, prep work for classes or events and helping to record projects through photos and blogging. On-site work means going to the class or project site and helping to run the lesson or activity. Again this could be documentation and observation but it also includes teaching experience. Ideally an intern would be able to stick with a project or two for their duration.
