Over the past 17 years, artists from across the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Europe have participated in the Youth in Arts Italian Street Painting Festival. Plus, Youth in Arts has showcases the talents of hundreds of middle and high school students representing local public and private schools. And thousands of young children have had the opportunity to experience the performance art of street painting at the popular Children’s Avenue. Since 1994 over 20,000 individual street paintings have been created on the streets of downtown San Rafael.
