Imagining Friendship: Online Through 5/31

Join us for our Imagining Friendship Online Opening Reception, live-streamed on Facebook and Instagram Friday, April 17th at 5:00pm. More than 70 colorful self portraits created by kindergarteners and first graders from our Walker Rezaian Creative HeArts program at Laurel Dell and Short Elementary Schools will be on display in our digital gallery. We will simultaneously release a series of printable coloring book pages of the students’ artwork for you to continue the creativity at home! The show will be on view on our website April 17 through May 31, 2020.

The Walker Rezaian Creative HeArts program was designed as a visual arts residency for kindergarten and first grade students. It builds fine motor, literacy and social emotional skills while giving children the chance to explore a variety of tools and materials. More importantly, it helps children learn how to make and keep friends when they explore ideas like sharing and empathy.
