1)     Convene leadership team at school site;

2)     Determine the arts needs for your site; and

3)     Ask the following questions:

• Do you want the artist residency to be linked with the academic curricula?
• Do you want a “pure” arts experience (accessible arts instructions geared toward arts excellence)?
• Do you want teachers to actively collaborate with the artist?
• Do you want written curricula and follow-up lesson plans?
• Do you want the artist residency to culminate in a final performance/gallery/celebration?
• Do you want the artist residency to tie into an existing school event
  (ie International Day, African American History Celebration)?
• Do you want the students to attend a professional production through our Performing Arts Series?
