Razzle 200 Years of American Music
November 8, 2011, Showcase Theatre, 9:30 & 11 a.m.

We open the season with Razzle Bam Boom’s song-filled and humorous take on important musical genres of the past two centuries, including Bluegrass, Hawaiian, Western, Jazz, Blues, Patriotic, Folk and Rock 'n Roll. Sing and clap along as you learn the musical history of our country. Appropriate for All Grades.

DreamCircle It's a Holiday! with Dream Circle
December 13, 2011, Showcase Theatre, 9:30 & 11 a.m.

Youth in Arts annual winter holidays sing-along is back! Join favorite Marin children's recording artists Tim Cain, Miss Kitty, Cindy Cohen Levy, Christopher Smith, Peter Penhallow and the Dream Circle Band to share songs about Hannukah, Christmas, Kwanzaa and other joys of the season. Recommended for Pre-K to Grade 2.

Andy How Andy Found His Voice
February 3, 2012, Showcase Theatre, 9:30 & 11 a.m.

Andy is picked on in class and having a hard time making friends. Visited by spirits from classic operas, he discovers how music and stories open a world of expression and joy. The San Francisco Opera Guild's production features grand arias, duets and even an opera sing-along! Recommended for Grades 3-8.

Wizard The Wizard of Oz
March 8, 2012, Showcase Theatre, 9:30 & 11 a.m.

Whisked off to the magical land of Oz, Dorothy goes searching for a Wizard and makes friends along the way. Introduce children to a timeless masterpiece with Masque Unit’s production of Jim Eiler and Jeanne Bargy’s musical adaptation. Recommended for Grades K-3.

ArtsPower Are You My Mother?
March 21, 2012, Showcase Theatre, 9:30 SOLD OUT & 11 a.m.

At long last, Baby Bird emerges from her shell and expects to be greeted by her mother. But her mother is not there. Where is she? Baby Bird sets out in search of Mother Bird in this colorful musical adventure based on P.D. Eastman’s whimsical and well-loved picture book. Recommended for PreK-Grade 2.

LeafPhotosynthesis: The Musical
May 3, 2012, Showcase Theatre, 9:30 & 11 a.m.

A Youth in Arts world premiere, created in collaboration with the Marin Carbon Project. The incredible process of photosynthesis is explained and illustrated through music and theatre, with a powerful message about how living closer to the earth can save our global environment. Recommended for Grades 2-8.
