Youth in Arts out-of-school programs are for teens who want to further their artistic process by working with a Mentor Artist. We call these “Intensive Arts Mentorship” or “I AM” programs.
Find out more about each program at the links below:
Mentorship between professional artists and emerging young artists lies at the heart of all Youth in Arts programs. We call our teaching artists “Mentor Artists” to underline the importance of mentorship in our work. “I AM” programs represent the richest level of mentorship Youth in Arts provides, with dedicated young artists rehearsing or working in the studio for many hours each week and carrying out high level art and performance projects. `Til Dawn lasts through all of high school and membership is earned through a highly competitive annual audition process held each May. C Street Project is currently a series of workshops and interested teens can sign up online. “I AM” programs are tuition-based, but no student who would otherwise be accepted to the group will be turned away because of an inability to pay.
