Lily Oglesby, Youth in Arts Presents
Lily has studied dance and theater for over 25 years and has been teaching both for over 15 years throughout the Bay Area. She studied ballet intensively at Milwaukee Ballet School and Pacific Northwest Ballet School in Seattle, along with modern, jazz, West African and Zimbabwean dance at Weselyan University. She continued her dance studies after college at San Francisco Dance Center, Rhythm and Motion, ODC and other dance centers around the Bay. She studied theater in London at The Central School of Speech and Drama, at Wesleyan U. and at ACT in SF, where she also taught for 4 years in the Young Conservatory. She has also studied dance abroad in Ghana, Brazil, Spain and the Domincan Republic. Lily has taught environmental education for over ten years and was the Green School Program Coordinator at Next Generation in San Rafael. In addition to directing Youth in Arts performance programs, she teaches and choreographs at schools throughout Marin.
